Black Coffins
An ongoing series of portraits executed with just one single felt tip pen. The entire series is completed on clear polyester film, which can be transposed on a number of different backgrounds, because these figures mean so much to a variety of people from unique walks of life. This material references the ways in which we epitomize these artists in our own personal a way, on notebook covers, doodling our own subconscious connection to the artists themselves. A personal tribute, reflecting on the images of African American musicians that have passed on and how they changed the way we experience music.
